Rtware923's comment is exactly how you can ruin a game with DLC. That and I hadn't seen the DLC topic mentioned so far. So there, that's enough sign to justify concern.

But even if it was worth it, wrapped up in a $25 price to get it is crazy. The $25 car came with in game currency, which I can't judge the value of. But what blew my mind was $25 for another single car. $7 for a single car (best case scenario, still a lot for one vehicle). I saw something really bad from Saber though. But there was enough to be worried it my be an encroaching trend (it is with the industry, hopefully not with these companies). I looked at Saber's and Focus and Saber to see if they had a past history of poorly managed DLC. Still routing for the project to be a success (wouldn't be mentioning concerns like this if I wasn't). Hoping for the best for developer, users, and community alike.ĮDIT: From discussions below, I'm optimistic that Saber and Focus won't abuse DLC. On the surface, it's a good thing this project is happening. But it does make it fishy that the original developer is working for the entity who is developing the new version. That doesn't excuse the original developer for giving up on the game early. Since it is a different entity inheriting the project, they didn't get the money everyone put into the original game.

That being said, I get why they are making a new game. Some DLC is great, but they tendancy now seems to be for games to be ruined with over zealous DLC.
